Rosa

Rosa Montoya, M.S., LMFT
AAMFT Clinical Supervisor and Triage Manager

Rosa has been a pivotal member of the NISD community for more than a decade and has served in a variety of roles. In addition to providing therapy and clinical supervision, she lends her organizational and relational skills to NISD as our Triage Manager, overseeing a team of paid and volunteer staff who provide the first relational experience with our organization.

Our Triage team strives to provide a caring and welcoming experience to anyone seeking counseling services or training opportunities, as well as other organizations looking to partner with us. We recognize that first impressions matter, particularly for clients in distress who are seeking support. It can be daunting to take the first step in finding a therapist, and we believe that these initial interactions can make a crucial difference in the client’s overall experience.

As the Triage Manager, Rosa works collaboratively to provide leadership and training support to the NISD Triage team as well as to provide oversight of all triage operations and related business processes. She also enjoys learning about and applying Narrative therapy practices and non-structuralist thought to NISD’s business and administrative systems.
