NISD is committed to offering affordable counseling services to help reduce the barriers for people seeking mental healthcare. Our private pay fees are between $30-$150/session, based on your household income.

- MFT Trainees – are 2nd year graduate students in an affiliated University’s MFT Program, working towards a Master’s in Counseling and 500 hours of clinical training.
Sliding Scale Fees: $30-$60 per session based on household income. - MFT Associates – have obtained their Master’s degrees in Counseling and are working towards earning 3000 hours for their licensure.
Sliding Scale Fees: $60-$110 per session based on household income. - MFT Licensed Therapists – hold their own unrestricted license granted by the Board of Behavioral Sciences (BBS) to practice psychotherapy in the State of California.
Sliding Scale Fees: $100-$150 per session based on household income.
We have Relational Therapy packages that provide low cost sessions for couples, families and friend groups. We also offer discounted fees to registered members of the Open Path Collective which shares our mission of making therapy affordable and accessible.
Additionally, some of NISD’s licensed therapists also accept select insurance plans and out-of-network benefits. Learn more on our Insurance page.
All of our pre-licensed therapists are supervised by a licensed Marriage & Family Therapist (LMFT) or an AAMFT Supervisor Candidate.
