A note from Rachel:

Hello, my name is Rachel and I am currently working toward a master’s degree in Marital & Family Therapy at the University of San Diego. I am interested in working with individuals, couples, families, and groups.

After receiving my bachelor’s degree in psychology, spending some time working in clinical research, and beginning my own journey of self-exploration, I realized my passion for helping others heal from painful experiences and discover a happier, healthier, and more fulfilling life.

With the guidance of Narrative Therapy, I hope to work alongside my clients to expand their understanding of themselves, explore past experiences and present states of being, identify their strengths and resilience, and realize their own potential to create a meaningful life in alignment with their personal goals and values. Through this process, I actively invite my clients to explore the effects of culture and power on their lives and challenge societal notions that have been imposed upon them to ultimately construct their preferred identities and narratives.

Additionally, I value the mind-body connection and am interested in exploring our physiological states in relation to our psychological experiences. I am drawn to alternative mental health therapies and am passionate about creating safety in our physical bodies through movement, nutrition, breathwork, meditation, and connection with nature. I also welcome the incorporation of creativity and various forms of artistic expression into the therapeutic space.

Thank you for taking the time to read a bit about me and I look forward to collaborating with you!
