A note from Ron:

I believe everyone has the right to be heard and loved, to be listened to, and to have their therapist be fully present and helpful. I have worked with refugees and immigrants from the Middle East who face many cultural challenges in their voyage to a new and strange country, and this experience has helped me to hone my skills in this relational context.

I have great interest in working with individuals who suffer from anxiety, depression, trauma, difficult life experiences, alcohol or other substance use, and other distresses that may accompany those conditions. I also am firm in my belief that sometimes it is helpful for individuals to seek intermittent sessions with a therapist simply for the purpose of mental wellness, much as we see a doctor or dentist on a regular basis in order to maintain our good health.

In addition to being an associate therapist, I am an adjunct professor of psychology at a local community college. I have found that my journeys with my clients and my students result in a learning experience to all involved. Being firmly rooted in Narrative practices further reinforces the learnings that are a result of the therapeutic process.
